Sam
Okay, so if we tell Maya it's a work dinner, she won't suspect a thing.
Jordan
Wait, will she actually buy that excuse? She's pretty sharp.
Sam
Good point, but her sister already convinced her the restaurant needs her opinion on catering.
Jordan
Oh, that's clever, I didn't think of using her sister like that.
Sam
Exactly, and we need someone to keep her busy while we set up the decorations.
Jordan
I can handle that, I'll just keep chatting about her promotion to distract her.
Sam
Perfect, meanwhile I'll coordinate with the caterer so everything's ready by seven.
Jordan
Seriously though, what if traffic delays the cake delivery again?
Sam
I already asked the bakery to leave an hour earlier just in case.
Jordan
Smart move, you always think three steps ahead of everyone else.
Sam
Not really, I just learned from the disaster at Tom's surprise party last year.
Jordan
Oh no, don't remind me, the balloons popped right when he walked in.
Sam
Right, so this time we're testing everything twice before she gets anywhere near the venue.
Jordan
Sounds like a solid plan, I'll text you the second she leaves her apartment.
